When stored in airtight packaging and at room temperature, roasted almonds will keep for several months. The shelf life is also influenced by the production process - with us, you can be sure that your roasted almonds will keep for at least six months.

Roasted almonds stay crunchy if you pack them airtight. At fairs and Christmas markets, roasted almonds are often sold in paper bags. What is nice to look at is unfortunately not ideal for an ideal shelf life. We recommend airtight bags or containers.

First of all: Yes, much better! The best quality roasted almonds are obtained with a lower sugar content. This is because the roasted nut can develop its flavor better and there are no "sugar lumps". Who hasn't experienced this? You buy a packet of roasted almonds at the Christmas market, taste them and bite into a really nice lump of sugar. Unfortunately, almost all roasted almonds today are still roasted with up to 50% (!) sugar. This is of course much cheaper than using more almonds - but unfortunately it is totally bad for the quality. We at Jacobs therefore use at least 65% almond content and much less sugar to get the best quality. Try it for yourself, you will notice the difference!

When you think about the price of 100g of roasted almonds, it's worth considering the trend over the last few years. A decade ago, they typically cost between 2.5 and 3.5 euros. Today, prices are around 4-5 euros per 100g. This price increase is due to various factors, including the drastic rise in raw material prices, especially sugar, by up to 300%. In addition, energy costs for production have also risen, as have other operating costs. Unfortunately, some manufacturers have started to cut costs by using more sugar as it is cheaper compared to almonds. Although this results in lower production costs, it also significantly affects the quality of the roasted almonds.
